The new Peugeot 5008 2011 model is the larger of the two MPV people carriers in Peugeot’s car range, being the big brother of the 3008. The new Peugeot 5008 is a spacious seven seater, with a good sized 3rd row of seats, and a bit of luggage space spare with them occupied. Like its smaller brother this car also has a slight crossover feel to it, with a bit of a rugged 4×4 look to the car, despite not having 4 wheel drive. The interior is good too, with a bit of premium Audi styling being thrown in for good measure. |

The 5008 Active is starting point into the thankfully simple range of just 3 spec levels. The Active gets the following standard equipment: air conditioning, 16” wheels with energy saving tyres, leather steering wheel, radio CD player, electric front windows (but not rear) electric parking brake, fold flat rear seats, electronic stability control and a 5 star NCAP safety rating. The 5008 Sport spec takes the above Active specification and also adds: 16” alloy wheels, aluminium style front grille and fog lights, cruise control with speed limiter, lighting pack with boot torch, height adjustable passenger seat, family storage pack, look pack – colour coded exterior, rear electric windows, front fog lights. It is available with the full engine range, so that’s the 1.6 VTi and high powered 1.6 THP turbo petrol engines, and the 1.6 and 2.0 HDI diesel engines.
