By far the biggest seller in the Alhambra range is the 2.0 litre turbo diesel, the 1.4 petrol is also available and the cheap option of you dont do much mileage, but the 2.0 diesel suits the size and charachter of the car better. Seat refers to the diesel models as the Seat Alhambra TDI, with TDI standing for "Turbo Diesel Injection" and also refers to automatic as DSG (or Direct Shift Gearbox). All Seat Alhambra TDI models give fantastic fuel economy, with the 2.0 litre generating around 50 mpg according to the official govenrment combined average figure. This, combined with the higher residual values that the diesels command over the equivalent petrol models make the TDI the best buy in our opinion.
