VW Urban Fox
The 2012 VW Urban Fox is the higher spec model in the range. The standard Fox is fairly basically equipped as you would expect at this price, the VW Fox Urban gives you a few extras such as colour coded bumpers and door mirrors, easy entry sliding seats, electric front windows, remote central locking, sliding rear bench seat, and split folding rear seats. The price for the upgrade is £635. It is possible to add further options such as alloys wheels and air conditioning for a price, but then you start to edge the costs up towards bigger car territory. |

VW Fox 1.2
The 2012 VW Fox 1.2 has a nippy little 4 cylinder petrol engine with 55 bhp, enough to cart you along at a reasonable rate, whilst giving an official combined average of 46 mpg. Whilst it can be fun bouncing the car off its rev limiter it can become tiring on longer journeys, and the VW Fox isn’t a car designed for motorways, as the wind blast from lorries can move such a small car off course, and the top speed is 92 miles per hour but it will take a little while to get there. The 1.2 is best enjoyed whizzing around cities or on winding country back roads where the entertaining chassis can be exploited to the full. |

The 2012 VW Fox 1.4 engine gives the car a bit more oomph, with its larger 75 bhp engine. It’s not a pocket rocket, as the 0-60 time is still 13 seconds, but it will hold its own on a dual carriageway, and if you need your VW Fox to do motorway miles, this is the engine for you. There is a respectable 104 mph top speed, and fuel economy is around the 42 mpg mark on average. |
