New VW Polo Deals and Discount Prices

Orangewheels is moving to new larger offices, so we are suspending our discounted prices for the next few days as we will be without internet, email or phone lines for the duration of the move, so won’t be able to receive customer enquiries.

Don’t worry, we will be fully back online Monday 13th July with our discounted prices (or sooner if we are lucky!)

New VW Polo Deals and Discount Prices

New VW Polo

VW Polo

The New VW Polo has become a strong favourite with buyers, and is one of Orangewheels best sellers. a combination of classy looks, great build quality and sensible prices combine to make the Volkswagen Polo a very attractive proposition. The Polo has always swayed towards comfort rather than outright cornering ability of something like a Ford Fiesta, but makes a great little runabout, with the Volkswagen badge meaning much stronger residual values when sale time comes. Looks have always been conservative, and evolutionary rather than the latest fashion, but the Polo has always been a neat, smart little package with plenty of space inside due to the high roofline, also making it easy to get in and out. Specification levels depend on which model you go for, but the cabin feels well made from quality materials, and will be properly screwed together to last a lifetime.

VW Polo E

VW Polo E

The VW Polo E is the entry spec for the Polo range, and sells on no frills pricing. This does however mean a no frills specification, with wind up windows, steel wheels and no air conditioning, which is worth bearing in mind. It is only available with a 1.2 litre engine, in either 60 or 70 bhp forms and either 3 or 5 door, but prices are competitive as you can see from our discounts above.

VW Polo Match

VW Polo Match

The VW Polo Match is the top selling specification in the Polo range, and features what most would describe as a sensible list of standard equipment with the features you would look for in a desirable small car, such as a nice set of 15” alloy wheels, air conditioning, electric windows and colour coded bumpers and rub strips. It also comes with a choice of either a 6CD changer or Ipod connectivity. The one omission is that although it gets central locking, it isn’t on a remote control, so you have to use the key. You can add the remote locking with alarm for £315 but you’re getting close to the SE price then. Engine sizes are practically the whole range, so you’re looking at either the 1.2 litre petrol in 60 or 70 bhp forms, the 80 bhp 1.4 litre petrol engine – the only one available with automatic as an option, or the 70 bhp 1.4 litre diesel.

VW Polo SE

VW Polo SE

The VW Polo SE is a small step up from the Match variant, giving remote central locking, an alarm, and drivers seat height adjustment on top of the match spec, but also allows further customisation, so you can add luxuries such as leather seats to the SE, which would be unavailable on ther specs. Polo SE versions only have the higher level of 1.4 engines, either the 1.4 80 bhp petrol engine in manual or auto , or a 1.4 diesel engine, but with 80 bhp, rather than 70 bhp in the Match.

VW Polo Bluemotion

VW Polo Bluemotion

The Polo Bluemotion is VW’s greenest Polo variant, focusing on providing better fuel economy and lower emissions. It does this by adding narrow low rolling resistance tyres, some aerodynamic tweaks with a revised grille, higher gear ratios for the top 3 speeds meaning you’re cruising at lower revs on the motorway, and some alterations to the 1.4 diesel engine to reduce CO2 emissions to 99g/km, so no road tax to pay, and an official combined fuel economy of up to 74.3 mpg. Now the bad news: all this efficiency comes at a price, with the Bluemotion models significantly more expensive than the standard car. Most of the benefits in fuel economy come from the higher gearing, so good for motorways, but unlikely to make much difference over a std Polo diesel round town. So if you do high mileage mainly on motorways and go into London a lot, this car would be great for you, if it’s a low mileage runabout you’re after, then do your sums carefully as the standard diesel may be a better bet. There are 2 Bluemotions listed, with the majr difference being the more expensive Bluemotion 2 coming with air conditioning.

VW Polo GTI

VW Polo GTI

The VW Polo GTI is a less well known cousin of the Golf GTI, but features similar GTI upgrades to the Polo package that are seen on the Golf, meaning the installation of the old Golf GTI engine – a 1.8 Turbo unit, which is vastly more powerful than any other Polo model. The car has lowered sports suspension that helps handling but still retains most of the comfort of the original car, a nice set of low profile 16” alloy wheels and sports style interior in the traditional tartan GTI finish.

VW Polo 1.2

VW Polo 1.2

The VW Polo 1.2 petrol engine is available in both 60 and 70 bhp forms, and unless you’re on a budget, we’d recommend the 70 bhp format. The 60 is fine for round town work, but can struggle at motorway speeds, whereas the 70 gives you a bit more go. Both are fuel efficient engines, giving late 40’s mpg.

VW Polo 1.4

VW Polo 1.4

The VW Polo 1.4 petrol engine gives 80bhp and feels a fair bit more powerful than the 1.2, so if you’re using the car for long distances or motorway work, this is the way to go, and still provides a combined fuel consumption of 44.8 mpg, so not far off the smaller units. It has an added advantage of also being the only Polo engine with automatic transmission as an option.

VW Polo 1.4 tdi diesel

VW Polo 1.4

The VW Polo 1.4 tdi diesel engine is a little gruff, but has a fair bit of pull about it. It’s available in 2 power levels, 70 bhp in the 1.4 match and 80 bhp in the 1.4 SE and Bluemotion models, and gives a great combined fuel economy of 62.8 mpg in the std car, and as high as 74.3 when fitted in the bluemotion models

Volkswagen Polo Colours

Colours available on the Polo are: Reflex Silver, Shadow Blue, Flash Red Solid, Summer Blue Solid, Diamond Black, Grey Anthracite, and Special Black solid paint.
