It looks good, and switchgear feels solid, although some of the buttons can be a little fiddly. In an overcrowded market segment, the Volvo C30 stands out as a distinctive quality choice. Priced beneath more expensive rivals in the BMW 1 series and Audi A3, but just above the Golf, it’s not a cheap car, but its revolutionary looks and big car feel are more than enough to carve out its own individual premium niche, making a great overall ownership proposition.
