Audi Q5 TDI For Sale
The TDI name is given to every diesel engine in Audi’s range, standing for “Turbo Diesel Injection”. There are several different TDI models available, a 2.0 litre engine with either 143 horsepower, giving a 0-60 time of 11.4 seconds, a top speed of 118 miles an hour, and a good fuel economy figure of 45.6 miles per gallon. This is the cheapest Audi Q5 TDI model and the most fuel efficient, but is only available with a manual gearbox, which may put some people off. The next model is the 170 horsepower version, which improves the 0-60 time to 9.9 seconds, and raises top speed to 126 miles per hour, while having no real effect on the fuel economy, but it can be ordered with an optional S-Tronic automatic gearbox for approximately £1400 more, and this is the best seller in the Q5 range. finally there is a choice of the 3.0 Litre TDI engine, which is a V6 with 240 horsepower and loads of mid range torque, lowering the 0-60 time significantly to 6.5 seconds, and dropping the fuel consumption figures to 37.6 mpg, and adding a bit to the price, but the 3.0 TDI does come with an automatic gearbox as standard.
