Orangewheels Unlikely Car Manufacturers
There are some car manufacturers that we would love to feature here on the Orangewheels site, These are primarily Sports car manufacturers that have limited numbers of dealers, and keep a tight rein on any discounts. That’s not to say discounts are impossible to get hold of on these models, just that the manufacturers don’t like to see dealers (or us) advertising them. We suggest haggling hard in the current climate with these brands dealers to see just how far you can get! These manufacturers are:
BMW & Mini – Although a volume car manufacturer, BMW has a strong grip on its UK dealer network and supposedly threatened to come down hard on any dealer found to be advertising discount prices, with threats of losing their franchises being mentioned by some dealers – Some might call this illegal price fixing…
Aston Martin – James Bonds transport of choice, Aston produces some wonderful sports cars and Grand Tourers with timeless elegant styling, such as the DB9 and Vantage.
Bentley – Another famous British Marque, now owned by VW and producing great cars like the continental GT. Big discounts can be had here if you really push!
Bristol – A name known only to car enthusiasts and elusive millionaires, Bristol makes some highly eccentric and individual models for those with deep pockets.
Corvette – well known in the US but rare in the UK, Corvette has been refining its all American muscle car to the point where it;s lapping the Nurburgring quicker than many European rivals – the ZR1 in particular is some piece of kit!
Ferrari – Oh, how we would love to advertise big discounts on New Ferrari models (and drive them too) but the high price and small number of dealers makes that almost impossible – such a shame!
Lamborghini – Another at the top of our super car wish lists – Audi owned and producing some stunning models, we cant wait to see the Murcielago replacement.
Maserati – Owned by Ferrari and the Fiat Group, Maserati are like an Italian Jaguar – making some of the worlds best (and best looking) luxury saloons and GT cars.
Maybach – The ultimate Mercedes limousine, based on the S-Class, and a German Rival to Rolls Royce with every gadget you could possibly want in your car available – at a price!
Porsche – Now part of the VW group, and going from strength to strength as the diversify from just sports cars into saloons and 4×4’s – The new Panamera is bound to be a sure fire hit.
Rolls Royce – Simply the most fantastic luxury cars on the planet – the Phantom model is like nothing else on the road – the ultimate in Automotive luxury for the lucky and wealthy few that can afford them.
Lotus – The UK sports car manufacturer that made such iconic models as the Esprit and Elan, now makes the lightweight Elise, and about to launch the new exciting Evora model.
Orangewheels Minor Car Manufacturers
which brings us to the last section – the few remaining car manufacturers that are not likely to appear on the Orangewheels website, not purely because of their exclusivity or reluctance for dealers to give volume discounts, but because of other reasons, mainly that they are small cottage industry brands that make such small numbers and a lot of the time sell directly to to public themselves rather than using an established dealer network – You may never of heard of some of these brands, but if you are interested in one of these brands we suggest contacting the manufacturer themselves via their oen UK website to check availability:
