The Black Edition model is usually introduced into the line-up after a year or two of the standard Q5 being on sale, and it's built around the already very nicely equipped S Line specification, and also adds: larger 20" alloy wheels, the Titanium black styling pack which turns the radiator grille, front bumper inlays, window trims, roof rails and door mirrors all to a gloss black finish, and on the interior the aluminium trims are replaced by piano black, and the flat bottomed sports steering wheel is also added. The overall effect is great, and it's easily the best-looking version of the Q5 available. The 2020 Black Edition always sells strongly when released, and currently costs around £1,800 more than the S Line trim on which it's based.
