To make it easier for buyers to compare different engines and to move away from only considering engine capacity as important, Audi has renamed its whole power plant line up, and what once was the 3.0 TDI 231 model is now the 2020 A7 45 TDI. (the idea being that anything called "45" has approximately 250 horsepower regardless of fuel type and will have similar performance.) It's still the same 3 litre 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine with 231 horsepower, a 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.
