The Lexus UX now has a choice of two powertrains, the one that it was launched with which is the 250h hybrid engine set up or the fully electric 300e model. The UX250h uses a 2.0 litre petrol engine with an electric motor (or two electric motors if you go for the more expensive but no more powerful E4 4 wheel drive model) plus a small battery where he car recovers energy from braking and the engine to run in battery mode at slower speeds, boosting fuel efficiency. On average the UX 250h model will get you around 50 mpg in use, has a 0-60 time of around 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 110mph.
You have a choice of three different spec levels - the standard car, the F-Sport and the Takumi, all are nicely equipped, the F Sport has a bodykit and firmer adaptive sports suspension for those who want to push the car harder in corners, and the Takumi is the luxury spec. The standard car gets: 17” Alloy Wheels, Lexus Safety System, E-Call, LED Headlights plus LED Front Fog Lights, Premium Fabric Seats, 6 Speaker Audio with DAB, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7” Multimedia Display, Rear View Camera, and Dual Zone climate control.
