The second generation Porsche Cayman GT4 picks up where the first dropped off in being a simply stunning track focused sports car, and in the eyes of most car journalists pretty much perfect, so it's a tough act to follow but as usual Porsche has been more than up to it. The GT4 carries over a host of upgrades taken from wherever the brand feels will help improve the car, so the standard front axle is ditched and replaced with the one from the new 911 GT£, the rea damper as inverted using a motorsports trick, and the control arms and subframe are also taken from the GT3. there’s a shorter throw manual gearbox, and a limited slip differential, semi-slick tyres are fitted, and a huge rear wing taken from the GT4 ClubSport race car for added rear downforce. the all new 4.0 litre engine is a bored out version of the 3.0 litre unit found in the new 911 that gives 414 horsepower, there are optional carbon fibre racing bucket seats and there's even a steel roll cage should you specify it with the ClubSport pack if you're going to do lots of track days, and in a car like this you would be wasting it if you didn't.
