Fuel & Gearbox
The XC40 currently offers two different choices for diesel power - either the D3 or D4 model. The D3 is based on a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine producing exactly 150 horsepower, with a CO2 rating of 127 g/km and official combined average fuel economy figures of 58.9 mpg. Despite the recent move away from diesel, if you're a higher mileage user then the improved fuel economy still very much makes financial sense. If you're doing under 15,000 miles a year we'd suggest looking at the petrol models though.
