Great fun to drive and surprisingly cheap to run, the 2018 Panda 4X4 is for everyone who values effortless style and exceptionally rugged performance. Today, as always, the Panda remains the only car in its class to boast a 4-wheel drive version. With its handsome ‘squircle’ good looks and distinctive off-road refinements, the all-new 2014 Panda 4X4 has genuine all-terrain capability, matched by impressive kit and a luxurious cabin.
The new Panda 4X4 is paired with a choice of two engines, both smart enough and economical enough for a discerning metropolitan market. Firstly, the 85PS 0.9L Twinair petrol performs eagerly for its modest size, returning over 57 mpg in average conditions and offsetting road tax with a low 114g per km CO2 emission. Alternatively, the frugal Multijet 1.3L diesel with 75PS has higher emissions at 125g, but offers a superb consumption average of 60.1 mpg.
The 2018 Panda 4X4 trim is unashamedly high spec with distinctive exterior styling including special chunky bumpers, black side mouldings, raised body, roof rails and tweaked suspension, as well as bespoke off-road alloy wheels with ‘mud and snow’ tyres.
Inside the Fiat Panda 4X4, the roomy and practical cabin has a distinctly well-appointed feel from the driver’s high position. Bluetooth, mp3 and USB connectivity, air conditioning, multi-function steering wheel and sophisticated infotainment functionality all come as standard.
Prices start with the Panda 4X4 0.9L petrol, listing at £14,340. The 1.3L Multijet diesel adds an additional £1K. The model also comes in two special editions for 2018; the cool Panda Antarctica 4X4 with its white exterior and black roof rails, or the funky Panda Cross 4X4 with raised wheel-arches and dramatic styling.
