Following on from the success of the 911 T, Porsche UK has launched the Cayman T model - a lighter weight version of the standard Cayman designed to be the most dynamic and driver focused of the models whilst remaining designed for the road rather than the track and staying affordable. It is based around the 2.0 litre model in the base spec car, but gets a load of the optional chassis upgrades such as the Porsche Torque Vectoring, the PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) with has a reduction of 20mm in ride height, Active Drivetrain Mounts, and Sport Chrono pack to allow for interactive driving modes and adjustable stability control, and larger 20" alloy wheels. These together combine to make the car even crisper handling helping tighten the cars line in corners and keep it glued to the road, and feeling a more athletic car than the standard version.
Whilst all of these options could be specified on a regular Cayman, it would cost you a lot more, and because resale values wouldn’t take those into account, it wouldn’t sell for as much on the used market, so having them all as standard on the T makes it a more valuable car, which also has a positive effect on the monthly leasing prices. The Cayman T can be specified with either the manual or the PDK automatic gearbox.
